Casting and Release Date

On 16 January 2015, it was confirmed that Mandy Patinkin joined Smurfs: The Lost Village and will voice Papa Smurf which it was voiced previously by Jonathan Winters. Then, on June 14, 2015, it was the time for Demi Lovato and Rainn Wilson to join the film. For the release, it was firstly announced that this film would be released on 14 August 2015 but it was then postponed to August 5, 2016. Then, it was pushed back to 31 March, 2017. Lastly, it was confirmed that the film will be released on 7 April 2017.
